This hinged cooking grate allows you to add more charcoal without removing the grate and a 12 in. grate insert in the center is removable. This flexible design is just the ticket when less traditional charcoal cooking methods are desired. For instance, simply remove the 12 in. insert and replace with a GOURMET BBQ SYSTEM INSERT, such as the Sear Grate, Griddle or Wok (each sold separately).
